Store Spatial data
Databases have functionality to store geometric data combined with administrative data. This data represents the location, size and shape of an object on earth. Spatial data also often contains attibutes or characteristics that provide more information about the object. Geo-ICT Training Center offers a number of courses in this area.
Oracle Spatial and PostGreSQL are our specialty. GIS packages like ArcGIS and QGIS can connect with these packages. In our courses you are getting to know the spatial data types. The data is stored as coördinates, points, lines, polygons and topology. The packages can handle the more complex data like three-dimensional objects and linear networks.
